QBRNTHSS

QBRNTHSS (pronounced “quebrantahuesos”, meaning “bearded vulture” in Spanish) is the alias that Ramon Casamajó, musician and educator, uses for his solo works focused on electronics and algorythmic composition.

Refugi de Fauna Salvatge

Refugi De Fauna Salvatge is an experimental electronics and digital arts project that brings together Ivó Valdivielso aka Les Eines (live sampling and sound with modular synthesizers and sampler) and Ramon Casamajó aka QBRNTHSS (sound with code and trumpet). Refugi de Fauna Salvatge offers performances in which computer code, trumpets, folklore samples and analogue weird sounds are processed and mixed together to offer the curious a different and suggestive experience.

Turing Tarpit

Turing Tarpit is an electronic, noisy and improvisational musical project. The duo formed by Ferran Gavín (electric guitar and effects) and Ramon Casamajó (trumpet, effects and electronics), proposes the creation of soundscapes and pieces developed live, either from the absolute void, or using starting points or elements of support created and prepared in advance.

A Turing Tarpit is any programming language that is functional and correct (Turing complete), but at the same time difficult to learn and use and with little or no practical sense. Some are created to test the design limits of programming languages, as a proof of concept, or as a joke. Usability is rarely a goal for the designers of these types of languages, often quite the opposite.
